I wanted to take a moment to thank you for the incredible job that Team Finke did in helping us to find our wonderful home! As we were house hunting, Jenny and I found the level of care that you provided was far above and beyond the call of duty. As first time homebuyers, we could not have asked for a better team to work with. Your patience, knowledge, concern for our wishes, and incredible attention to detail made the very daunting process of finding and buying our first home into a very approachable (and downright enjoyable) task. I would actually go so far as to say that you spoiled us with your quick response times and your constant availability – especially compared to the waits we had for selling realtors and bankers. I’ll never forget that you were so available to us that Jeff drove back to Champaign to meet us at a grocery store at 10PM on a Sunday, just to get our offer revised and accepted sooner.

At the end of the day, we couldn’t have been even close to the biggest sale you guys facilitated last year, but you never would’ve known it from the way you took care of us. You showed us countless homes, helped us to wow our families with the home we chose, reassured us when a great house slipped just beyond our grasp, helped us to refocus ourselves when we started looking at homes that weren’t up to snuff, and made sure that our closing was as simple and painless as the process can be. Frankly, I’m excited to one day sell our new home, just so we can work together again!

My Testimony of the Being Associated with Team Finke

My husband and I interviewed with a couple of realtors before choosing Team Finke.  After prayerful consideration, it became quite obvious to us who to choose after having Jeff and Laura sit at our table, discussing the journey we were soon to embark.

The first thing I noticed was how comfortable we felt talking with them. With. Not TO. With. It was a team effort starting to unfold. The trust factor was so quickly becoming real to us, that we couldn't have imagined  using anyone but Jeff and Laura. It was very important having someone with negotiation skills, and Jeff most certainly filled that need. His knowledge of his profession, and his way with numbers, appealed to my husband, who is also a 'numbers guy'. I sensed Laura's passion to grab hold not only of our hands, and walk through this hard journey of selling a home with us, but of our hearts as well. That trait was something most important to me. She was never without a smile..a hug when I needed it, and comfortably available by phone, whether texting or calling. I never felt I was a bother to her with my many questions and concerns. To say they were there for us is an understatement.

Full of Integrity. Honest. Caring. Kind. Professional. Skilled. Warm. Knowledgeable. Dependable. Persevering.  These are only a few of the words describing what we discovered in Jeff and Laura. Their reputation in the real estate profession is highly regarded. Would we use them again? You bet. Would we recommend them to friends? Absolutely.

In the midst of life’s adventures, the many ups and downs, winds and u-turns, you will have people enter your life who will leave a lasting impression, an imprint. In January 2011, my husband moved to Arizona to begin his new job. As a professor, and with two children not quite ready to move, my children and I stayed in Illinois until June awaiting the end of the school year. In this season of life, we had a necessity at hand. We had to sell our house; not such an easy task considering the current real estate market and the national economy. Regardless, the necessity still remained, the house must be sold.

Enter Jeff and Laura Finke, affectionately known as “Spouses Selling Houses” of Coldwell Banker Honig-Bell. Not only were Jeff and Laura in consistent communication with us, both myself and my husband even as we resided in different parts of the country, but their care and compassion surpassed the world of business and real estate. Jeff and Laura became invested in our lives and the commitment of selling our home. Through seemingly hundreds <smile> of showings, they remained encouraging, honest, and forward-thinking as to what the next step could be. 

We benefited greatly as the Finke’s faith paralleled ours. Beyond the realtor-client relationship, they prayed for us and the business of selling our house. This was by far the most meaningful avenue of our relationship. For 7 ½ months the Finkes diligently worked in finding a buyer for our home. And in August, two months after we moved to Arizona, our house sold! The celebration, due in large part, to the efforts of the Finkes.

To summarize the character qualities of Jeff and Laura Finke: integrity, professionalism, steadfastness, loyalty, care, and results-oriented. In working with the Finkes, you will not only receive the outcome you desire, whether that is selling your home or buying a new one, you will also be touched by people who will leave a lasting impression, an imprint on your lives.
